NJ DMV INSPECTION 1 OBD READING NOT READY?

I just recently placed my battery and didn’t know that when you do that it resets the evaporation system and other systems. I went to get inspection and failed for o2 sensor not ready, and evap system not ready. Now the o2 sensor is ready but the evap system is still not ready.

My friend is telling me they will pass me if I have only 1 not ready system? is that true? source?

Answer:

You won’t pass until all system are ready. It usually on takes a few days of driving for all systems to be ready.

Evap System Not Ready

If your check engine light is on….it is an automatic failure.
