  • Where is the OBD Plug on my 1993 Honda Civic?

You are here: Home » FQA » Where is the OBD Plug on my 1993 Honda Civic?

My husband is trying to hook up a code checker (OBD) to his car, but he cannot find the plug he needs to hook the damn thing into… Does anyone know where it is?

    Answer:
OBDII did not start in Honda until 1996. The first source has the procedure for your 1993. Where it talks about a “tool” or “reader” it is a shorting device… most people use a paper clip. I bought the manual in printed form with two shorting tools and a little plastic screwdriver for $35. Not my best bargain.
